“I am the Director at Driftwood Lodge. I am the original founder of Seaside Care Homes and have been the Director/Manager since it was founded in 2008. I trained at Romford College of Nursing and Midwifery, originally qualified as a Registered General Nurse and then successfully completed my training to become a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse in 1995. With 12 years experience in Children’s’ Accident and Emergency Care, I have studied at Masters Level as an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner. Following experience as an outreach children’s nurse I was an instrumental lead in setting up a very successful Children’s’ A&E Department in a busy London Hospital. My role prior to this project was being a Matron of Children’s Services at a large General Hospital, responsible for successfully managing and developing paediatric nursing services spanning neonatal, A&E, Children’s ward, outpatients and day unit/day surgery. I am also a trained Mental Health First Aider.”

Georgina Decata

Registered Manager

“I am the Registered Manager at Driftwood Lodge. I have completed my Levels 2 & 3 in Health & Social Care and completed my Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Health & Social Care & Children & Young People’s Services. I have worked within Seaside Care Homes since October 2021 starting off as a Senior Support Worker and became the manager in March 2022. I have worked within the care sector since the age of 18. I have worked within the community caring for the elderly, starting as a carer and progressing to a senior. I have also worked in residential settings caring for the elderly, I was a Team Leader and moved on to be a Deputy Manager. I am currently in the process of working towards my Level 7 Leadership and Management. I am also a trained Mental Health First Aider.”

I have completed my Level 2 & 3 Health and Social Care, and achieved my Level 5 Leadership and Management. I am also a trained Mental Health First Aider.”
