About Us

Seaside Care Homes Ltd (formerly Children’s Respite Care Ltd) was founded in 2008 and specialises in providing exceptionally high-quality residential care for young people with a variety of complex care needs. We can also offer step down care and rehabilitation following injury or illness.

Driftwood Lodge can accommodate up to 5 young people at any one time.

Our pioneering, flexible and much emulated service is designed to meet the needs of each individual young person and their family.

Seaside Care Homes is directed by Amanda Owen who is a register general and sick children nurse. Georgina Decata is the registered manager for Driftwood Lodge. Amanda Blackmore is the home manager for Marella Lodge.

Our team is highly trained and shares the view that young people are ideally cared for in their own homes but when that is not possible being cared for in a home-from-home environment is the next best thing. Both homes are supported by a registered general nurse and registered learning disabilities nurse. They both oversee all the competencies and are also part of the on-call team.
